For a long time, growing my family didn’t look like I thought it would. My journey included infertility, waiting, and the unexpected path of IVF. Those years were filled with prayers, tears, and moments where my faith was stretched thinner than I ever thought it could be. But woven through it all was God’s steady reminder: “My timing, not yours.”
Waiting on God’s Timing
If you’ve been in that waiting season, you know how heavy it can feel. Month after month, year after year, wondering when your turn will come. Scripture tells us in Ecclesiastes 3:11, “He has made everything beautiful in its time.” That verse became an anchor for me—holding onto the truth that God’s timing is perfect, even when I couldn’t understand it.
The Journey Through IVF
IVF was not part of the plan I had for my life. But it became the road God used to bring miracles into my arms. It was hard, it was humbling, and it was holy in ways I didn’t expect. Looking back, I can see His fingerprints all over the process—how He carried me through each injection, each appointment, each moment of doubt. And when I finally held my child, I knew without a doubt that every single step had been worth it.
Capturing the Sacred Moments
When you’ve fought for your family—when you’ve prayed, cried, and waited—every milestone holds an extra layer of meaning. The first positive test. The growing bump. The newborn snuggled close. These aren’t just moments; they’re answered prayers captured in time.
Photography sessions during this season become more than just pictures. They’re a way to honor your journey. To remember not just the joy of finally holding your baby, but also the strength it took to get there. They become a legacy—proof to your little one someday of how fiercely they were wanted and loved before they even arrived.
As a photographer, living through infertility gave me a deeper understanding of why these sessions matter. Every shot is a testament to God’s faithfulness, a visual story of answered prayers, and a way to hold onto a season that is both sacred and fleeting.
A Word for the Waiting Hearts
If you’re still in that place of waiting, I see you. More importantly, God sees you. Your prayers are heard, and your story is still being written. Psalm 27:14 says, “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.” That waiting is not wasted. It’s shaping your story in ways you’ll one day be grateful for.
And when your miracle arrives—whether through IVF, adoption, or in God’s surprising way—you’ll have a story worth celebrating and remembering. That’s where I feel so deeply honored to step in with my camera: to help families treasure the evidence of God’s faithfulness.
Because every picture we take is more than a photo—it’s a testimony.
