One of the biggest questions my mamas ask before their session is: “Where should we go for photos?” And honestly, the Treasure Valley is full of gorgeous spots that make the perfect backdrop for showing off that beautiful bump. Whether you’re dreaming of golden fields, water views, or city vibes—there’s a spot that will fit your style.
Here are 10 of my favorite locations in Star, Meridian, Boise, and Nampa for maternity photos:
Star, Idaho
1. Star River Walk / Boise River Access
If you’re picturing dreamy greenery with the sound of water nearby, the Star River walkways are perfect. The tall trees and soft river views give us that romantic, timeless vibe.
2. Hunter’s Creek Park
A family-friendly park with open fields, pretty trees, and easy access. It’s a sweet choice if you want something simple but beautiful (and stroller-friendly for future visits!).
Meridian, Idaho
3. Julius M. Kleiner Memorial Park
Think wide open grassy fields, bridges, and a pond—this park has it all. Around sunset, the light hits just right, making it a dreamy maternity session location.
4. Settlers Park
This one’s perfect if you want a casual, playful look. There are open spaces, tree-lined paths, and just enough variety for a mix of soft and fun shots.
Boise, Idaho
5. Kathryn Albertson Park
Probably one of the most popular photography spots in Boise—and for good reason. With winding paths, ponds, and the occasional wildlife sighting, it feels like stepping into a little oasis right in the city.
6. Camel’s Back Park & Hulls Gulch
If you’re up for a little walk, the foothills views here are incredible. You’ll get that golden, natural Idaho look with rolling hills and tall grasses.
7. Boise Depot
Want a little mix of history and architecture? The Boise Depot is perfect. The Spanish-style building, gardens, and views overlooking downtown make it super versatile for maternity photos.
Nampa, Idaho
8. Lake Lowell
Water lovers—this one’s for you! Wide open views, a lake that glows at sunset, and sandy shores make it one of the most romantic maternity spots in the valley.
9. Wilson Creek Park
A smaller, tucked-away park that offers greenery and calm vibes without the big crowds. Great for a more private session.
10. Downtown Nampa Murals
If you want something colorful, fun, and different, the murals downtown are amazing. Perfect if you’re going for a modern, city-style maternity look.
